Wide view of Lower Düden Waterfall dropping from Antalya’s cliffs into the Mediterranean

Antalya · independent travel guide

One name, twodistinct encounterswith nature.

From the shaded rock passages of Upper Düden to the cliffs where Lower Düden opens into the Mediterranean: two dramatically different faces of the same water.

DÜDEN is an independent guide designed to help you plan without confusing the two waterfalls.

One name, different scale

One leads behind the water. The other opens to the horizon.

Upper and Lower Düden are not in the same place. One is among trees in Kepez; the other stands on the cliffs towards Lara.

The memory of water

Underground, through the city, then out to sea.

Düden’s story is larger than a single viewpoint. Its sources and underground flow, the green setting of Upper Düden and the cliffs of Lower Düden are different scenes in the same water system.

Fitting both into a day

Two waterfalls, one Antalya route.

This is not an opening-hours schedule; it is a suggested flow based on daylight and the character of each place.

  1. Upper Düden

Walk through the wooded grounds and rock passage in the cooler hours.

  2. Kaleiçi or a city pause

Break the transfer between the waterfalls with lunch in the city.

  3. Lower Düden

See the cliff path and Mediterranean view in softer light.

Viewpoints

Not only seeing Düden, but seeing it from the right place.

The wide cliff view, city skyline and passage behind the water create entirely different frames.

A day around Düden

A slower Antalya day that follows the water.

Leave time for the rhythm of both settings instead of turning the waterfalls into a checklist.

  1. Begin in the green

Upper Düden’s short walk and rock passage.

  2. Return to the layers of the city

Kaleiçi, a local lunch or a museum.

  3. Reach the cliff line

Lower Düden and a late-day coastal walk.
